new_jersey_weed New Jersey lawmakers are putting the final touches on a bill that would legalize medical weed. If passed, NJ would become the 14th state to adopt the increasingly acceptable law. Still, the move isn’t without controversy as some misguided detractors, probably fearing a cut in their budgets, oppose it, like Middlesex Police Chief James Benson. He uses the typical spooky talking points, falsely arguing that legalization will have disastrous results: “increased use of marijuana, increased crime and threaten public safety.” Unfortunately for Benson, there’s little evidence to support that, just ask the FBI director or the Dutch.
