A Mexico City gallery is opening an exhibition in Brooklyn offering up some artistic takes on violence. Attempting to articulate the pervasive problems in Mexican society, Yautepec Gallery opens “Asesinos,” meaning murderers, at Williamsburg’s Live With Animals, their second cross-border collaboration. A half dozen artists contributed work to the show, including kaleidoscopic gun prints, drawings of death and street life photos that are intended “to compel a US audience to rethink its own distance and insulation from the trouble brewing down South.”

“Asesinos,” December 11 – January 10, Live With Animals, 210 Kent Avenue
