ramboWhile New York City saw fewer fatal shootings last year, killings by knife increased 50 percent, from 83 to 125 deaths. “It is hard to say with certainty what accounts for the increase,” says NYPD spokesperson Paul J. Browne. “We may have made it harder for killers to get their hands on guns. Knives are still easily and legally acquired.” However, there are currently no plans to criminalize possession of your kitchen drawer at this point in time. |NYT|
