Out of old windowpanes found in the trash, Navin June Norling builds see-through canvases, which he paints with contemporary imagery. Whitewashing his work, the local artist then buffs away the layers, selectively revealing another look at these pop culture pictures, from brand logos to cultural icons. Tonight, Norling reveals “White Wash,” an installation of this performance sculpture in Fort Greene’s Danny Simmons Corridor Gallery.
