Over the weekend, artist Josh Keyes opened an exhibition of his paintings juxtaposing animals with pieces of post-apocalyptic human landscapes. The new show, “Sprout” at David B. Smith Gallery in Denver, showcases Keyes’ work around the notion of overgrowth with nature and hardy creatures clashing with forgotten monuments and slowly reclaiming their natural habitats.
