Back in the late 1990s a little known street artist named Brian Donnelly made a name for himself by removing high fashion advertisements from phone booth kiosks, adding his own touches and reinstalling them. He goes by the name Kaws and his artwork now fetches thousands of dollars, Kanye jocks him, and whatever he pastes his signature XX’s on sells. And now you too can try your hand at street art enhancing courtesy of Jordan Seiler, the intrepid ad tampering artist who loves nothing more than liberating corporately funded spaces, although he does offer this disclaimer: “Remember it is illegal to tamper with private property even when it’s in your public environment, assaulting your senses with messages you couldn’t care less about for things you don’t need.”
