As if the video wasn’t disturbing enough, here’s some equally shocking photographs of Indio police unmercifully dragging Coachella’s most entertaining act, the Naked Wizard, into custody. And despite what the he-deserved-it crowd says, even jackasses baring penis-looking appendages should be shown some semblance of leniency. Click through the gallery of horrors above and go here to see the full NSFW collection that makes you wonder what country these were actually taken in.

Man i hate to say it, but the cops were fairly cool with the little wiz.
That dude had it coming. I think they went easy on him.
Sorry you are wrong. If you watch the entire video the cops were very patient. His ugly naked body was an affront to all people there. He fully deserved what he got.
The cops were _very_ patient that that fool. He got what he deserved.
I always assume that cops are going to use too much force. This time, they got it exactly right. I'm happy to be proven wrong. Nothing brutal or horrific here.
I guess no one here thinks the knee-drop to the ribs was an act of brutality? if you watched more carefully, one of the cops drops his bodyweight into the naked man's ribs, then lets the naked man try to crawl away. As soon as the guy gets "away", the other officer, who had his taser drawn before the kneedrop, shoots the naked man in the back. It couldn't have been planned better.
Not to mention the sadistic overuse of the taser, afterwards, repeatedly shocking him on the heart and neck. The officer is lucky he didn't kill the victim.
So 5 minutes is the official definition of "very patient" now?
When a swarm of thousands of sympathetic on-lookers builds by the second, I'd say 5 minutes is a fucking LONG time to be dealing with someone.
I'm surprised he didn't get it sooner. The IPD showed extrordinary patience and restraint. They let him make his point, have his say, then asked him to obey the law. He repeated refused. Had he complied, he would have walked away into the crowd a hero. Instead he literally made an ass of himself. He got what he deserved. End of story.
Uh yeah. I watched the vid and he touched the cops like five times. Why do white folk think you can just touch cops anytime you want? Seems like this is some spoiled rich douche learning the lessen his daddy never bothered teaching him.
Rob's obligatory race remark was irrelevent and hypocritical. If he states that white folk ( love the term "folk" often used by Black pple like Rob) think they can touch cops anytime they want then I will say to Rob that Black and Brown folk think they can shoot cops anytime they want. Just as stupid.
Actually the guy wasn't exposing anything that I could see without a microscope. I have seen new borns with bigger penis' – seriously.
Those are some fat ass cops wtf, no wonder we are in a budge crises . He probably could of out ran those fat asses
The Cops should have stomped his naked ass some more….
So that next time he knows to listen when he's told to comply…
I hope tha "fat cop"…broke some of the Idiots Ribs……
I used to work security for concerts and the thing that people fail to realize is that when you go to those shows you are on private property and what ever rules the location sets is just that a rule. If you have a festival in a public place the rules on nudity are the same.
This wizard dude is a douche bag and the cops asked him and he felt the rules didnt apply to him. Cops did what they had to do and it was ok by them.
Attempted murder is never ok
I am 3 times shocked: first for the episode itself, second for all the people just standing and staring (they could have easily stopped the cops and let them seriously THINK about what they were doing), third I am shocked for the majority of the comments here. You have completely you humanity, guys.
He was naked in a public venue. He was defiantly belligerent (doesn't matter if his language was civil, he was intentionally drawing attention to himself. When asked to cover himself *several times*. This went on for several minutes. I'm surprised they allowed him to draw a crowd, since that extends to disturbing the peace as well.
(Also, as callous and obviously unrelated as Rob's remark is, it is unquestionably true. Look again. This man wasn't just patting on the arm, he was gripping the officer's shoulder and uniform. I can think of several people who, if they tried that, might have been on the ground a lot faster, and had a lot more damage done, Rodney King style. And no, I'm not taking sides on the issue, I'm just sayin'…)
But I digress. This man had it coming. He could have – and should have – complied long before the taser, and didn't.
THIS GUY GOT EXACTLY WHAT HE DESERVE. THIS WAS A FAMILY EVENT AND THERE WERE SOME KIDS THERE. IF MY KID WAS WATCHING THAT SHIT I WOULD HAVE DONE MORE DAMAGE ON HIM MYSELF. GOOD JOB INDIO POLICE
Come on carlos, your kids see more naked people on tv, and by the way there is nothing innatural in a naked person. Please wake up
First of, this event wasn't a "family". The Park is where you take your kids, not an adult, drug infused concert for the masses that care for that sort of thing. Second, this man wasn't naked in a public place. You had to buy yourself a $120.00 ticket to enter this private facility.
Third, even when you do see a man streaking' in public say a soccer match or NFL football game, the guy NEVER let me repeat NEVER GETS BRUTALIZE BY 3 OTHER OFFICERS OF THE PEACE. This dude (drunk as hell to begin with and non-violent) got a huge fat knee at his ribs, his hair pulled at every direction, tased 3 times (one in the heart, another on the back spine of his neck NECK!!!! ) and these 3 loyal officers of peace Still didn't know how to convince him otherwise???? If any of you don't see anything wrong with this picture? Then obviously you don't have any clue about police enforcement procedures….
A) Before getting tased, did the subject had a weapon? (..no)
B) Before getting tased, did you had backup? (2 other guys.)
C) Before getting tased, did the subject try to HARM you in any way? (..no)
so, why use extreme force?
ps: Did Wizard try to harass a chick or someone at all? What WAS his crime Indio/Banning Police ???
Put me on the police side on this one. That man had every opportunity to let the situation resolve without force, and he repeatedly refused. He broke the law, and then he refused to comply to the demands of law enforcement, and then he resisted arrest. The police are given tasers at these events for just this reason: it gives them a way to effectively deal with belligerent law breakers who refuse to cooperate.
Brutality?
Watch the whole video you dumb fuck.
It always makes me laugh when people bad mouth the cops when they have to lay hands on someone. I laugh because such things are said by people ignorant of what the law covers and what the cops can and can't do. Then they try to hide behind the constitution and yell out "Freedom of Speach" Yet theyre quick to call 911 when things go south for them. These guys work hard each day and literally risk their lives for you and your families safety, and when someone disrupts the laws "WE" not they, set forth we call them to make it right. The law allows them to do what they did, and quite frankly they were allowed to do far worse and alot sooner, Touching a cop the way he did is assault in Ca. This guy exposed himself, refused lawful orders caused a disturbance and resisted arrest. By doing so he dictated the officers actions and got what the law allowed
Ok first Off, thats spelled with two "F's" Enrique, The Coachella Music Festival is a family event. The fact that dugs are used dosen't change that. The people who use there are breaking the law like any other place and when they're caught they do go to jail. Google that S#!T. 2nd, This venue is a business open to the public, having to pay to get in dosen't change that either. It is a public place under the definition of the law. Google that S#!T. 3rd. I'm not sure what your definition of "Brutal Force" is but I didn't see any blood or punches or kicks by the cops even after the guy refused commands and resisted arrest. The law allows them to use what ever force necessary to make the arrest, and they used the bare minimum, even with the Fat Knee to his ribs. You can Google that S#!T too. And as for your list of when the cops can and can't use the Taser, the suspect dosen't have to "Had a Weapon", even with back up it can still be used to gain compliance, and you sure as hell don't have to wait for them to try and hurt you before using it. Google that one. And lastly you asked what his crime was, try indecent exposure, public disturbance, delaying a peace officer during his duties, assault on a peace offcer, (You can't touch the cops in any way) and resisting arrest. So it's it obvious YOU don't have a clue about police procedures, So stop trying to wax intellectual about S#!T you know nothing about and think before you open you mouth son.
1. just cause you pay to get in does not mean you can take your clothes off. I pay to go to Dysneyland should i take my clothes off. 2. This is a family event otherwise the grounds would not allow kids at the event. My sis and cuz are sherrifs here in Indio and they have gone through their fair share of shit cuz of some ignorant f*ck who thinks they can do what the hell they want. Indio PD did the right thing and that is tase this idiot before the crowd got bigger and caused a bigger problem. By the way (ELLEN) my kids most likely will watch more naked people on t.v but dont you think that should be my choice to allow and not some dumb Fk. I agree with you that there is nothing wrong with being naked, just like some people thinks there is nothing wrong with hitting a woman or stealing so by all means people go right ahead there is nothing wrong with it.
The cops should have drawn their service revolvers and emptied them into the guy's head the second he slapped the cop's shoulder. That kind of tolerance only encourages Al Qaeda.
Or raped his ass with a rapid weasel.
Yeah. That would have been entertaining!
The cops were extremely patient with the Wizard. Even the cop who got his "package" grabbed by the Wizard. Police brutality? Come on. The Wizard was given every opportunity to get dressed and he was creating a disturbance. I had no idea that grown men came in such small packages.
Where is that dude's penis? That was more disturbing than anything! Is that normal? I've never seen that before. Cops had every right. They asked him about 100x's to put his clothes on and when they took him down, he continued to resist. The little wiz is just lucky that they tazed instead of pulling out a billy club.
The cops were extremely patient. They should have cuffed him at their first request to put his clothes on and hauled his naked butt into jail. There is a loss of respect to police officers and it is a shame. They have a very difficult job and with people standing around jeering them… how sad.
See what happens people…the police didn't ask Merlin to do anything wrong, they asked him to put his clothes on and Gandolf refused. He put the cops in a position where they had to subdue him, which they did with professionalism.
I love the fact that people in the crowd were yelling, "the world is watching", and "its all on video tape". They are right, this video will be used in a court of law to prosecute the fool that refused to respect others and respect the law.
Good work officers!!
Seems pretty clear that there was no "brutalized" happening here.
Enrique Enrique Enrique…Before I even begin to tell you where you are wrong, let me point out a few errors in your "English".
A) Before getting tased, did the subject had a weapon? (..no)
This should read, Before getting tased, did the subject HAVE a weapon?
B) Before getting tased, did you had backup? (2 other guys.)
This should read, Before getting tased, did you HAVE backup?
Let's begin with your first comment, "did the subject have a weapon?" We don't know what the subject had before the video started. Also, if the officers are TELLING you to do something and you refuse, they now have a reason to taser you!
Second, "before getting tased, did you have backup"? Who are we talking about here? Did WHO have backup? Do you mean Merlin was supposed to have backup before the officers tased him? I don't know about the rest of the readers here, but that remark totally showed your intelligence.
I'm going out to dinner…later kids!
If you watch the video you will see the cop stick the taser right in the guy's chest. The cop is attempting to place the taser over this poor idiot's heart. THIS TACTIC IS CLEARLY DANGEROUS AND POLICE SHOULD STOP USING IT IMMEDIATELY. If this man had a bad heart this officer would have killed him. To me, placing a taser over a clearly our of shape man's heart is attempted murder. If this were truly a just world, that pig would be the one in jail. Forget this poor idiot with a very tiny dick, the cop is homicidal! Fuck that! Arrest the homicidal pigs!!!!!
Whether or not you agree with this guy, isn't it a little immature to sit there and criticize his English skills? Even with some serious conjugation issues he still gets his point across; throwing down that analysis (Buseck) seemed unnecessary to me. That said, I think the situation was handled very well by the officers initially. Admittedly I don't know much about proper taser-use and scenarios, but later on the tasings seemed like more than what necessary.
Additionally, I don't necessarily agree that being naked is so wrong, but that's aside the point, heh.
Your right (subject tests), picking on someones English was out of line.
The bottom line remains, I feel the officers did what was necessary for that situation.
WOW WHAT A SMALL ASS COCK. MY 2 YEAR OLD SON HAS A BIGGER DICK THAN THIS GUY. THE GUINESS BOOK OF WORLD RECORDS SHOULD BE CONTACTED. THIS COULD BE A WORLD RECORD.
I THINK MY BELLY BUTTON IS BIGGER
It's a triple A battery………and he got what he deserved! Shouldn't have been showing it off in the first place! 'Subject tests'….maybe being naked isn't wrong…but it's where you're naked that makes it right or wrong. When in public….keep yourself covered, respect other's and yourself!
I THINK IT IS FUNNY WHEN PEOPLE LIKE STERLING CALL POLICE OFFICERS "PIGS" WITH SUCH DISRESPECT,BUT, AS SOON AS YOU GET ROBBED, BEAT UP, HAVE A GUN POINTED TO OUR HEAD BY SOME RAMDOM STRANGER YOU CALL ON THE "PIGS" TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. CORRECT ME IF I AM WRONG WHICH I AM PRETTY SURE YOUR GOING TO REPLY BY SAYING," NO I DONT NEED THEIR HELP" OR " I CAN HANDLE SHIT MY SELF" YOU IGNORANT FK
I think that we all agree that the wizard was not in possession of any sort of weapon. Was it really really cold or something? I've heard of shrinkage but i've never heard of one turning outside in before.
1. The cops were pretty patient.
2. They could have subdued and cuffed him without resorting to the Taser.
3. The Wiz was obviously in some altered state, since he was continuing to speak calmly even while being Tased.
3. If the cops had not done anything and the Wiz had rubbed his cocktail wiener up against somebody's girlfriend, or went wandering around blocking somebody's view, he might have had the crap beat out of him and ended up a lot worse off than he did.
I know this guy, he's just a free-loving neo hippie. He juggles fire and works with kids. He's not a fucking rich douche or any of that shit. The taser was unneccesary and wrong. He may have been fucked up I don't know but he could have been calmed and escorted peacefully out.
I thought it was pretty funny seeing a naked hippy enjoying himself along with the crowd, I do however also agree that lines need to be drawn. The cops did show up and asked him several times to put his clothes on and he refused (I'd imagine if you were in the cops position, this act of non-compliance would irritate you too; same goes for the wizard). But I don't agree with how much force the cops used, was that really necessary to taze him that many times as well as a chest stomp? I agree with "None_". They could have… "he could calmed and escorted peacefully out." I think both the wizard and the cops were just yanking each others chains. Still pretty funny.
The cops could have handled this a lot differently. He obviously wasn't concealing a weapon! And just think how embarrassed he must be now= this video is a classic.
