Graffiti on the Thalys

Unlike everyone else hellbent on keeping graffiti writers off their stock, one European rail company is rolling out the red carpet. In celebration of their high-speed service between Paris, Cologne, Brussels and Amsterdam, Thalys invited four former train bombers from each city to spray paint their brand new cars. Graffiti artists JONONE, SEAKONE, SOZYONE and ZEDZ were comfortably situated in Paris’ Gare du Nord and given 3 hours and 15 minutes, the train’s travel time between Paris and Cologne, to “express their city and the energy that it radiates.” The legal graffiti display will travel the line, undoubtedly inspiring illicit painters, until service begins in December.
