Strip Club Worries Queens Drivers With Fliers That Look Like Parking Tickets

February 10, 2015 | Rhiannon Platt

Queens Community Board 2 has a problem with clever marketing, reports DNAinfo. Hunters Point local business Sugardaddy’s recreated parking tickets as part of a marketing campaign to highlight free lunch and $5 drink specials. The strip club’s advertisements were so spot-on that local residents feared the NYPD, no longer on a slowdown, was on a ticket-writing rampage.

On one side of the flyer, Sugardaddy’s has matched the signature orange that gives any New York City driver anxiety. The opposite side is adorned with a revealing image of a woman in a cop costume advertising the business’s specials. With New York’s recent sleet and freezing temperatures, car owners may be unable to forget the stripclub as the advertisements freeze to windshields.
