Well here’s a heartwarming holiday story about love and family and all that, and it just so happens to involves America’s preeminent champion of good, old fashioned family values, Sarah Palin. In the middle of the holiday season, Palin’s daughter Bristol petitioned an Alaskan family court to have all of Levi Johnston’s custody rights stripped away. Even worse, the Palins attempted to do it secretly so that the dastardly liberal media, not to mention pathetic bloggers, would never find out.

On December 23rd a judge denied a request by the Palin camp originally filed in November that pseudonyms like “John Doe” and “Jane Doe” be used in place of the actual names of the family member involved. The whole thing is just so very shady…they want to take away Levi’s rights to see his child AND do it in secret so that no one can ever know about whatever unsavory details come out of it. Poor Levi.

“I do not feel protected against Sarah Palin in a closed proceeding,” Johnston said in an affidavit accompanying Butler’s filings. “I hope that if it is open she will stay out of it. … I think a public case might go a long way in reducing Sarah Palin’s instinct to attack and allow the real parties in this litigation, Bristol and I, to work things out a lot more peacefully than we could if there is any more meddling from Sarah Palin.”

Johnston’s affidavit did not disclose exactly what “meddling,” if any, the former governor has engaged in during the custody case’s brief lifetime; however, he theorized that the closed proceedings might be intended to conceal some “fairly aggressive” tactics.

What are the Palin’s hiding? Hmmmm…
