Barack Obama is Apparently on Team Leno
Of all the disappointments of Obama’s first year, and yes, there have been a few, this might be the most disappointing and striking glimpse into how isolated and insular life in the White House can be: they have hired America’s most hated comedian, Jay Leno, to be the keynote speaker at the annual White House correspondents dinner. Can you say tone deaf?
I mean, even the Bush White House had some cool people like Stephen Colbert perform at their correspondents dinners. So Jay Leno, a guy everybody despises these days, being picked during the Obama administration is just…I don’t know. Leno? LENO?!?! He’s the fucking worst!
And here all along I just presumed Obama was a Conan guy!

You do realize the White House does not pick the comedian right? Not like Bush picked Stephen Colbert. This is all the WHCA trying to pick a safer person than Wanda Sykes (the person from last year) and the deal was done before the whole Conan brouhaha happened, as you can see in Nikki Finke's report about it
