Obama Starting to Cave on 9/11 Trial Venue
In another potentially disastrous, back-bending move, Obama, who were going to start referring to as President Gumby if he keeps this up, has reportedly contacted Attorney General Eric Holder to discuss the possibilities of changing the venue for the 9/11 trial from Downtown Manhattan to another location amidst all the political fallout. This comes on the heels of Mayor Bloomberg’s about-face, he says it will cost too much money, a statement teeming with irony for a politician who just spent over $100 million to maintain the throne of NYC.
Either way, this is all silly. We’ve handled other terrorist trials from the blind sheik to the embassy bombings in Africa, no need to capitulate now. Also, it’s not like there’s anything built at Ground Zero to knock down again anyway. Let’s just get this done! |NYP|

I think he might be using the expensive excuse because this will fuk our shit up. Even if we aren't attacked by a legion of underpants bombers, downtown will become a dead zone. Get ready to write the articles about how it sucks that they stopped and searched you and made you feel all violated. Oh and the obligatory – they only stopped and search me because I'm a Muslim article and subsequent lawsuits. This sucks – they should be having this trial in DC if it is such a great idea.
