R.I.P. Ady Gil: December 2009 – January 2010

When it comes to conservation, the Sea Shepherds don’t play. They’ve got hardcore ads, techniques, and boats, but none of them were as cool as their newly commissioned, $1.5 million, carbon fiber trimaran that was rammed by a Japanese security vessel in Antarctic waters on Wednesday. The group says they were just being their rightfully obnoxious selves when their beloved Ady Gil had her bow torn off in the collision. She was less than two months old and will be missed, but not forgotten, especially since it was all captured on video. Watch in horror below.

Everyone needs to see the movie The Cove to truly understand how deceptive and horrific the Japanese and Korean "research" on whaling is. They slaughter these dolphins and whales right after Sea World trainers get to pick which animals are fit for to be used back at their aquariums…
