The Most Depressing Global Warming Spot Yet

I think we can all agree that the icebergs are melting. Good! Safer shipping lanes. Easy Gore, I’m kidding. Here’s the latest climate change video from Greenpeace trying to guilt you into buying a hybrid. Warning: it’s got a cold deadly twist.

It’s yet another global warming polar bear snuff film!—though not as gory as the last one. I wonder, can polar bears drown? Apparently, yes! Anyway, the video is by Greenpeace Germany, agency unknown. Rough copy translation: “In 30 years, the Arctic will be ice-free in the summer. The climate needs you.” I’d like to see the source for that statement. Here’s the accompanying website. Creatively, I like the simplicity of the spot; it’s got that AHA! moment that gets ad people hard. But the fake dead bear looks a little too fake. No way to avoid that, I guess…I’m now depressed for the rest of the day. |Video via: comunicadores|

This is the worst Coke commercial ever.

You man "Easy, Gore". I had to read that three times until I got that you didn't mean that somehow gore would.be easier to create because of this. Comma before a direct address, because "eat, my friends" is different from "eat my friends".
