Book-Selling, Palin Style!
Question: What do you do when a) you’ve got thousands of dollars in political contributions sitting in an account that you’re legally forbidden from directly banking as income and b) you want to make sure the dumb book you wrote remains on the bestseller lists? Well, if you’re Sarah Palin, you spend thousands of dollars in political contributions buying copies of your book under the guise of “gifts to donors,” thereby you can collect royalties and pad your sales without spending a cent of your own money. 1. she's a private citizen, not bound by campaign restrictions. 2. all politicians do this. she is permitted to give out gifts to contributors. 3. you say vaguely "thousands" like it was 50 or 100k. it was about 5k. that really isn't that much. 4. again, she's permitted to do this. it's a non-story thought up by leftist hacks with not other evidence. it's like saying, 'oh no, she gave out those pens attached to lanyards as gifts." um, ok, so what?
