A California man was unsuccessful in his attempt to have a historic mountain renamed after the right wing’s master of the universe and former president Ronald Reagan. Arthur Mijares argued that Mount Diablo (Spanish word for “devil”) is way too evil sounding. Ya see, he’s a Christian and every time he hears or sees the name, it makes his palms bleed or as he puts it: “To me and millions of other followers of the Christian faith, the devil is derogatory, pejorative, offensive, obscene, blasphemous and profane.” |SFGate|
