Missing Pet Posters Count As Graffiti In London

MISSING_CAT A teacher in London was fined for putting up posters of her missing cat Fluffy around her neighborhood. The penalty amounted to a little over $115 for violating “Section 43 of the Anti-social Behaviour Act, which polices fly-posting and graffiti” according to the Telegraph.

She eventually found her cat and the fine was dismissed, but the academic argued that people have been using this medium for hundreds of years and therefore the long standing tradition should be classified differently. Sounds good. With civilizations writing on property for thousands of years, I assume she must also advocate grandfathering in graffiti too. |Telegraph|
