In what has to be one of the dumbest acts of vandalism ever committed, a 22-year-old man was busted for allegedly etching a glass door inside the city hall of a LA suburb while being observed by “over 100 sheriff’s deputies and police officers attending a law enforcement training class,” according to the arrest report (PDF doc).

Despite his size (6ft. tall, 280lbs.) the man attempted to make a run for it and at least 40 cops gave chase. He only made it about 30 feet before authorities say he “tripped over his own feet and a curb” causing him to bust his ass—while that last part did sound doubtful at first, in this case, I’m willing to give cops the benefit of doubt.
