Banksy’s Pop Up Cinema On Leake Street

After decorating Utah for Sundance, millionaire street artist, Banksy, is going all out—well his team is—for the UK premiere of “Exit Through the Gift Shop,” and they created a pop-up, 150 seat theater to prescreen it before the general release. Billed as “London’s newest, darkest and dirtiest purpose built cinema,” the Lambeth Palace boasts an “auditorium in a tunnel under Waterloo train station with popcorn stall, lounge bar, and stunning temporary toilet facilities.” More photos of the underground digs can be seen here.

  1. I was lucky enough to go to the screening of Banksy's Exit through the gift shop at Lambeth Palace. The film and setting were great.
