alg_frisk_handcuffs The NYPD has been keeping a database of people that were stopped and frisked, even if they were cleared of any wrongdoing, prompting two City Council members to pen a stern letter to Commissioner Kelly, urging him to end the practice. There’s been a sharp increase in “street stops” last year with officers logging in 575,000 stop-and-frisk reports. Only 6% of those led to arrests, leaving one long ass list of innocents. |NYT|
