Taxi Drivers Not As Scammy As First Believed
The Taxi and Limousine Commission may have wrongly demonized thousands of cabbies and now says the meter scam may not be as widespread as first reported. After a more thorough investigation, TLC Commissioner Matthew Daus told the City Council that “a fairy significant number” of the 1.8 million rides that were overcharged appear to be due to unintentional driver errors that didn’t end up costing customers any additional money. |WNYC|
