African Junkies Too Poor To Shoot Heroin, Use the Next Best Thing

Blood. Yep, you heard right. The New York Times reports on a frightening method for getting high “in a few African cities” whereby heroin-hungry addicts shoot up with another junkie’s dope-laced blood. Although it is a great way to conserve drugs and be environmentally conscious, it also raises the risk of contracting AIDS by like a gazillion in a place that doesn’t need any more help in that department.
