Drunk Courier’s Missing Painting Story Really Was Too Stupid to Be True
New York art courier James Carl Haggerty said he lost a $1.4 million dollar painting because he was sooo drunk.
Since the painting’s co-owner is a fresh-out-of-jail hustler, seems like this wasn’t an idiotic fumble but an awkward con.
The other co-owner is offering a $25,000 reward for the sullen girl that disappeared somewhere between the Mark Hotel bar and the courier’s Trump apartment. Really? $25,000 for a $1.4 million painting? They’re all starting to look like a suspicious lot now.
Right: missing girl. Left: co-owner con.
