Poll: New Yorkers Susceptible to Irrational Fear of Islamic Centers

No longer a bastion of pluralism and tolerance, according to a New York Times poll, two-thirds of city residents want a proposed Islamic center near the WTC site moved to another location. With the 9th anniversary of the September 11th attacks approaching, the results aren’t all that shocking and considering that New Yorkers have discriminated against one cultural group or another at some point in history, not that surprising either.

What poll did you get this from? How many people were sampled? What was the margin of error? These are relevant elements that allow one to draw more or less reasonable conclusions from polls. Im all for criticisizing my fellow New Yorkers, but I think that including as much relevant information is important.

Thats a pretty fair poll, I hadn't thought to click on the link before. Those are some wildly offensive stats. I tyhought we were more open then that.
