Street Artist Wins $100,000 TED Prize

JR, a street artist who doesn’t suck and travels to places his peers never would, is the winner of the 2011 TED Prize. Known for his massive installations of black and white photo canvasses in some of the world’s poorest slums and richest cities, the semi-mysterious “photograffeur” from France will received a $100,000 grant to continue his site specific, global art campaign.

This is my favorite street art idea of all time. I can only imagine the amount of planning that went in to getting this shot.
