Forbes just rounded up the ever-growing “World’s Biggest Illicit Industries” and thieves and sellers of stolen art are cashing in $6 billion yearly, stateside. There’s only so many rich gents whose secret penthouses need a classy spruce up: while stealing is easy, selling is hard.
Unless it’s something people can use: With ready hordes of buyers, the other US black markets annually make $300 billion in drugs, $250 billion in counterfeit crap, $30 billion in cigarettes, $28 billion in humans and an unknown (but incredible) amount in weapons.
