The Coast Guard may be a little off with their numbers on how much oil is spewing into the Gulf of Mexico reports NPR, who showed the latest video released by BP to scientists. According to their calculations, it’s a lot more than the current 5k barrel a day estimate and is more likely in the range of 20-100k barrels a day.
In related news, Coast Guard Commandant Admiral Thad Allen said the drifting oil won’t pose as much as a threat to U.S. coastlines as previously expected. Maybe estimations aren’t their strong point?

lol
Estimations surely aren't their strong point.
