Remember all the hoopla about the need for mass street closures and beefed up police forces if terrorist trials were held in NYC? Well, it was all bullshit, from Christine Quinn’s claim that hundreds of businesses would be disrupted to the NYPD’s $200 estimation for additional security. How do I know this? Because, for the past few weeks, a major terrorist has been on trial in Lower Manhattan and although some additional measures have been taken, it’s nothing like the doomsday scenario that politicians and law enforcement officials have been predicting.
