Providence-based artist Brian Chippendale’s hand-scribbled canvases look like the neon vomit of an over-stimulated brain, oozing rainbows, capitalism avatar freak-outs, mushrooming oil spills and frolicking fields of infested color.

A co-founder of the Fort Thunder art warehouse and a drummer for the noise band Lightning Bolt, Chippendale says that “the human brain is no less the floppy disk of yesterday” and it’s time to get stabby.
