Despite being broke and instituting a doomsday budget that included fare hikes and severe service cuts, the MTA is moving forward with a plan to put cameras in all city buses, so our mostly miserable commutes aboard them can be adequately surveilled. A contract worth about $10 million is expected to go to a Florida company who will install the equipment at around $18,000 per bus.
