Looks like that aggressive new anti-graffiti bill giving the city unprecedented power to clean what is deems graffiti off private property isn’t working out so well in the East Village. A confused building owner was unsure how to respond to a letter he received from the city about a longstanding mural and thought he was required to buff the wall and so he did.
