Proving that the fixed gear resurgence is moving far beyond the urban, tattooed, cool guy sect, a small town in Colorado authorized the building of an 250-meter outdoor velodrome, the state’s third. The Boulder Valley Velodrome could be opened by next spring and is being designed by master builder Peter Junek.

The one in Boulder is soooooo small and so expensive to use. This one isn't super bigger. The one in Colorado Springs is awesome, but it's in Colorado Springs!
I applaud the new velodrome I don't applaud the – Rhetoric.
Who doesn't have a tat? Apparently the guy that wrote this copy.
Leave the bigotry for Limbaugh …
It's not just the tat, but the riser bars, top bar pad, and other amenities that have almost become like a recognizable uniform for those riding fixed gears in NYC and other cities, almost can't even tell them apart. My point was, this resurgence isn't an isolated urban phenomenon—Erie, Colorado for instance, only have a population of 6k people in 2000.
