Yesterday, soon-to-be working again late night host, Conan O’Brien joined Twitter with a single tweet: “Today I interviewed a squirrel in my backyard and then threw to commercial. Somebody help me.”
Not surprisingly, this riled his base into a frenzy and as of noon today, he has over 265k followers and rising. Compare that to Jay Leno’s 506 tweets and 30k or so followers and that NBC, is what we in the industry like to call: young people! But good luck with that new show.
I posted this on my facebook page – that's right, getting the word out about this kick-ass site- and my friend did the math, and the numbers he came up with are even MORE striking:

60 followers/tweet for Leno
