The owner of a Chinese food restaurant who is still unable to read basic English signs that say things like “Beware of Dog,” despite being in the country for 25 years, trespassed into a fenced-off yard in Brooklyn to litter it with menus and was attacked by three pit bulls. Sadly, the dogs were taken into custody by the NYPD and one of them died. Also, the man was hospitalized. The other two pits will be tested for rabies and if the homeowner can produce the right papers, returned and allowed to behave like dogs again.

i kinda feel like… well ok first of all fuck all those chinese restaurants throwing their goddam menus all over my shit.
but what im really saying is, maybe pit bulls aren't great city dogs? i've got a little experience with pits, and i'm inclined to think that having them in cooped in some yard in brooklyn is borderline cruelty from the outset.
I'm willing to go along with the not the best "city dogs" argument if it were an apartment and not a yard. I think that's pushing it a little. Also, had they been fenced in on Long Island, would have attacked just as ferociously. In this case they did their job.
That is ridiculous, why did a pitbull die? To the comment above, It's not just Chinese restaurants, it's many places that litter their menus everywhere. My question is, why is he trespassing and unable to read important signs. A dog is a dog period. Pit has nothing to do with anything, but people are ignorant.
The dog owner is the idiot. If you have 3 aggressive pit bulls in your yard, you are a fool and deserve what you get. Think how differently you would be responding if the victim was a child. Dog owners have a responsibility to anticipate things like people walking up to their door. The dog owner, by the way, is completely liable for this man's medical bills under NY law – because we as a recognize that individuals have a right to do things like knock on doors without fearing injury.
I love dogs, including pit bulls, but this owner was irresponsible.
