The FDA investigated two of the egg farms responsible for issuing a massive recall (550 million or so) and found deplorable conditions, unless it’s considered healthy to have shit piled between four and eight feet high. There was also lots of flies, rodents and maggots, not the first ingredients one would like to associate with a food product responsible for making omelets.
