Yesterday, we took a look at the future of medical weed dispensaries and today we’re previewing “the cannabis factory of tomorrow” as envisioned in a “proposal by Gropech, a non-profit that promises to create hundreds of union jobs and reinvest profits in the Bay Area if given a permit by the Oakland City Council,” reports The Atlantic.

The facility would be established as the state’s first official weed farm that would accommodate 30,000 plants and grow chronic for dispensaries across the state. Sounds a little monopolistic, but the design is still pretty progressive and an interesting starting point for an industry that is increasingly making its way out people’s basements and into the mainstream.
