NASA is very proud of this “rare” satellite photo showing a cloudless Great Lakes region, the “largest collective body of fresh water on the planet” and one of the worst places to have been vacationing this summer. Traditionally, millions of people across the U.S. (and Canada) rely on the lakes to stay cool, but this year, it was so hot, water temperatures rose above 70 degrees in some location and that, coupled with no waves, sounds positively horrible.
