In the event you’ve been sitting around wondering what people like Pat Robertson and Rush Limbaugh had to say about the Haiti earthquake, you’re in luck, as they have spoken! Robertson blames the whole thing on a deal Haiti made with the devil, and Limbaugh is accusing Obama of using the earthquake to suck up to black people. Yeehaw!
Here’s a sampling of the “pact with the devil” nonsense from Robertson that aired on the 700 Club or whatever it’s called earlier today, which is kinda funny in a way seeing that 90-95 of the population of Haiti is Catholic or Protestant, but hey, WHATEVER:
Something happened a long time ago in Haiti, and people might not want to talk about it. They were under the heel of the French … and they got together and swore a pact to the devil. They said, ‘We will serve you if you’ll get us free from the French. True story. And the devil said, ‘OK, it’s a deal.’ Ever since, they have been cursed by one thing after another.

And here’s Limbaugh just plain being Limbaugh, finding fault with Obama for speaking about Haiti faster than he spoke about the underpants bomber, and then accusing the president of using the event to score point with “light-skinned and dark-skinned black community in this country.”
As pointed out by Bucky, Brit Hume will likely have something to say about all this before the end of the day. Damn Haitians need to embrace MORE Jesus Christ, obviously.

i find it hilarious that rush douchebagh is accusing obama of being opportunistic and calculated. anyone else find this a bit hypocritical.
let me just say that even if the accusation is true, which is plausible given that he (obama) is a politician after all, at least he furthers his agenda by noble, humanitarian means or as rush put it, by jumping at the opportunity to "serve those in need".
now let's think of the way rush douchebagh furthers his agenda. noble? humanitarian? i dont think so. instead he waits for obama (and others) to slip up so that he can jump at any opportunity or chance to criticize him/them. not only is this behavior not noble, it is mean spirited and negative to say the least. it is also a behavior displayed in some species of animals that exist in our beautifully diverse world although the behavior itself is not so beautiful. it is know as parasitism.
yes rush, i am equivalating you to a parasite. i'm sure its nothing you haven't heard before but i just thought i would reiterate the fact. and always remember that love is greater than fear, good always defeats bad and kindness conquers meaness. try it out sometime. or maybe try doing something useful in this world.
