Harmony Korine’s fashion short Act da Fool is now online. Is Korine exploiting poverty by using it as an art prop? Or is he provocatively forcing reality onto the fashion world? You decide.
The film is shot beautifully. Shticky aesthetics aside, the “fuck this town” soliloquy could have been better if Korine didn’t script it himself trying to be all “authentic.” In fact, to actually appreciate any of Korine’s work, you probably should ignore him and his ironic mouth-diarrhea all together.
Note: the quality is a bit sharper on the site.

So…the one time a high end fashion company features black models, they happen to be sipping 40's and hanging out in junkyards. Real nice. Dear Harmony: FUCK YOU.
So…a high end fashion company finally decides to focus on Black models, and behold, they have them sipping on 40's and hanging out in junkyards. Ha ha ha, FUCK YOU.
Good point.
the film was commissioned by Proenza Schouler for her Fall 2010 collection. how the fuck can you try and criticize harmony for doing this?
fucking faggot shut up
I think Bubba was probably criticizing Harmony for what he saw as "selling out."
More to the point, how the fuck can you try and criticize Bubba when you use hateful words like "fucking faggot shut up"?
I'm sure you can find a less disrespectful way to express your disagreement.
