Representing 3,500 years of human drug use and all the junk it accumulated, High Society at London’s Wellcome Collection is on now.
There are 200 artifacts on view: a photo of a vast weed cloud horizon above a Colorado U crowd on 4-20, a classic psychedelic Joshua Light Show, a 1500 B.C. clay opium jug, a Victorian tobacco pipe, a digital cannabis vaporizer and more to de-stigmatize and educate with. There’s lots of liquid color, docs of the bloody trail of the $320 bullion-a-year illegal drug biz and an anonymous confessions corner.
