According to a pair of mad scientists, it’s the only efficient way to colonize the Red Planet. Flying back and forth from Earth is too time consuming (about 6 months each way) and with all the return fuel that’s needed, costly. So, they’re suggesting a space exploration program that would send old people astronauts on one-way missions, since they don’t have too long to live anyway. The downside: they’ll die of radiation alone on an alien planet. The upside: it could reduce costs by 80%.

they are giving their life to colonize a planet. that's pretty frickin' cool.
Bucky, I would do this. Admittedly, there are more than a few people who would be willing to help me pack my bags.
is will be in 20 – 30 years befor they do it. on other websites it says that they would rather kill someone than spend more money. if they want it so bad they can go them self. they are probly too scared to go them self. some younger people want to go. the older people would want to die with their family. i would be ok with it if they wanted to go. the will probly be so despret to get someone up there that they capture people.
