Self-taught photographer iO Tillett Wright “cracks in the celebratory façade” of party photography to catch her subject at their least self-aware, alone in a crowd. She thinks of her diptych’s as two moments in a sexual act, producing “a fictional offspring, a new story.” This is iO’s first solo exhibit.
