NASA gassed the whole world today with a press conference that wasn’t nearly as exciting as the “extraterrestrial” pre-show hype. No aliens were discovered, but their scientists did find a new kind of organism right here on Earth that is unlike all others. It’s the only known organism that exists without phosphorous, one of the six basic building blocks of life. It thrives on arsenic, a super toxic chemical and this finding is expected to have vast implications for the way smart space people search for other lifeforms that look like beans.

This is a big deal. It supports the notion that life is common place in the universe. And your body is composed of life that looks like beans. Our bodies are essentially a very onrganized gang of bean looking life. Fascinating.
