Currently, there’s a шторм-дерьма (“shit-storm” in Russian, according to Babelfish) going on in Moscow over this new graphic anti-smoking billboard campaign. Earlier this month, another execution—an anti-secondhand smoke board featuring a baby being ashed—really sent Muscovites into a tizzy. Here, wow! Russian cigs must burn super-Kelvin hot.


The tagline of the campaign translates, loosely, to: “You don’t care?” The News Outdoor Group, Russia’s largest outdoor advertising company, is responsible for the effort (here’s more info). You’d think they’d have access to someone with better Photoshop/retouching skills—that blood, yikes. Anyway, Bloomberg will probably be printing out that suicide image this afternoon to put on bodega matchbooks as an encore to the previous cancer images. |Images:|
