Sloan Fine Art’s presents the work of four Hunter MFA students currently resuscitating the use of metal as a medium for paintings. The group show “Persistence of Painting” includes works by Brooklyn-dwellers Jeremy Wagner and Rachel Budde. Wagner creates urban scenery on rusty steel “canvases.” Budde weaves social and gender commentary and metal-leaf details into her paintings. “Persistence of Painting,” Jeremy Wagner, Karen Seapker, Noah Landfield, Rachel Budde, May 19 – Jun 12, Sloan Fine Art, NYC
