A bunch of crazy Muslims who run some crazy Muslim website are upset over a recent South Park episode where the Prophet Muhammad is depicted wearing a bear suit and so Revolutionmuslim.com posted the following about the show’s creators: “We have to warn Matt and Trey that what they are doing is stupid and they will probably wind up like Theo Van Gogh for airing this show. This is not a threat, but a warning of the reality of what will likely happen to them.”
The website appears to be have taken offline, but not before we were able to grab a screengrab of the overreaction:
Strangely, the controversial episode won’t be posted on South Park’s website until May 15th “due to pre-existing Contractual Obligations,” but no need to wait, you can watch it here now.
If they had shown him not wearing the bear suit would the reaction have been any different?

I love this show. I even loved this episode. Trey Parker and Matt Stone are intelligent men. I'm sure they knew when they first conceived the outline of the show, they knew what buttons this would push.
I'm sure they know that Muslims are so protective over the image and the reputation of their prophet that they will kill anyone who shows Muhammad on sight without warning. I mean, I've known this since I was 12. However; they didn't care.
Why? Because this show DOESN'T discriminate against who it offends. It's meant to piss EVERYONE off and gross EVERYONE out at at least ONE point over the course of the series. As far as they're concerned, I bet this is nothing more then an assurance to them that they're doing their job right.
The risks they want to entail with doing that are their own business, I think.
So, just sit down, shut up, and watch the show. That's what I'm getting at.
