On Sunday, a volcano with an impossible to pronounce name (Eyjafjallajokull) erupted in Iceland, spewing steam and lava into the air. Scientists are concerned that seismic activity will intensify, leading to a more powerful eruption. Naturally, this could cause major floods as molten pools of hot material tends to melt ice quite easily. |NYT|
