The end-card to this viral video disturbance reads “12 March 2011.” This, we’re led to believe, will be when a new communique is set to drop from Richard D. James, once known as Aphex Twin, sometimes known as Analord, and best known as among electronic “dance” music’s freakiest poly-maths – though lately, only known as missing.

Sure there’s been the odd Coachella sighting and a one-off in France. But musically, not a peep since a bunch of 12″s – and a CD compiling them – back in ’05. So, here’s wishing that his new music brings the nightmare techno that’s been missing in our minimal REMs.
