Earlier this week, we told you about the Subway Etiquette project and now here’s another creative endeavor aiming to to “popularize the consideration of others and shame inattention and thoughtlessness” in NYC’s transit system: www.violationreport.com. The site encourages riders to document bad behavior by taking a photo and filing a detailed report that is added to a database where users can browse the numerous transgressions.

There’s even a handy illustrated manual (PDF here) highlighting some of the worst offenses and for the truly brazen, downloadable tickets that you can issue to evil doers—not advisable unless you’re prepared to physically defend yourself.
