Doug Christmas, the gallerist who removed Banky’s “Guard On Duty” in Los Angeles by cutting it out of the wall, claims he had good information that it was in imminent danger of being stolen. So, he decided to steal it instead, but of course, unlike those shadowy thieves, he only has the best intentions for it. He made the following assurances about the work when reached by phone this afternoon: 1) It isn’t for sale now and never will be. 2) He’s in touch with “Banksy’s network” and will gladly give it to them if they want it. 3) The “Guard On Duty” being offered on eBay is definitely a fraud, since the original is currently sitting pretty at his undisclosed location. As Robert Ripley once put it, “believe it or not!”

Bucky, I'd be interested to read your review, or thoughts, on 'Exit..' As you've covered Banksy, and street art, so closely for however many years i've been reading your site, i'm wondering what you make of it.
@Brian: Here's an ultra-short review: It's the cinematic version of this piece: http://bit.ly/cJUMEl. MBW is a living embodiment of that artwork.
